Micron
Pens: These fine point drawing pens won't clog or
dry out like most mechanical pens. Their waterproof, quick
drying ink is perfect for technical drawing or writing. Architects,engineers,
artists and graphic designers love them. The Art Box
carries black and colors in sets and open stock. Nib sizes
range from .08 to .005.
Leads,
Holders and Pointers: The Art Box carries
a variety of drawing leads including the entire Berol Turquoise
line. These leads come in 17 hardness grades from 6B to 9H
in black. Non-photo blue and carmine red are also available
in stock. We carry the Pentel Super Hi-Polymer Leads
in three thicknesses and Uni Automatic Pencil Refill
Leads in .5mm thickness. We stock a variety of comfortable
lead holders and pointers for each lead size. We also have
the incredible Stabilo Micro drawing pencils that come
in 19 hardness grades and are available in sets or open stock.
These marvelous pencils are a joy to use and sharpen beautifully.
Triangles
and T Squares: The bigger the better, we always say,
so, in addition to the usual sizes, we now have the biggest
triangles we could find anywhere, Charrette's huge 24" 30/60/90
triangles and 24" 45/45/90. We also have adjustable triangles,
and T-Squares in two sizes.
Compasses:
The Art Box carries a variety of compasses
from small school grade styles to the huge and wonderful Big
Boom compass from Alumicolor, which will make a 36"
diameter circle. This terrific compass uses a ruler to determine
the radius. Is 36" big enough?
Templates
and French Curves: The Art Box carries french
curves individually and in sets. We have templates for circles,
ovals, household fixtures, trees, etc.
Rulers
and Scales: The Art Box carries rulers galore
including C-Thru plastic rulers and the wonderful stainless
steel cork backed variety, handy rolling rulers and metal
cutting edge rulers with a slope to protect your fingers.
We have triangular aluminum Architects' and Engineers' scales
in three sizes including a really cute pocket size. We also
carry inexpensive plastic triangular scales.
Knives,
Blades and Cutting Mats: Of course we carry X-ACTO
blades and knives! This terrific company makes top quality
products that you can count on. We have the classic knives
and the second and third generation easy grip handle varieties.
We carry #11 blades in packs of 5 and 100. We also carry Excel
blades that are extremely sharp, ground on two sides instead
of one, and are cheaper than X-ACTO blades. Both will
fit the same knife holders. The Art Box carries cutting
mats in a variety of sizes and colors. We also have handy
personal size "paper cutters" at reasonable prices.
Vellum:
The Art Box carries vellum made by Clearprint
in sizes from 18" to 36" and lengths from 5 - 20 yards. We
also sell sheet stock from 8"x10" to 18"x24"
Drafting
Film (Mylar): Drafing film is a bit like Vellum,
but it is made of polyester, a perfect surface for ink, pencil
or plotting drafting techniques. The Art Box carries
4mm "double matte" Drafting film in 24"x36"
sheets and 30"x20 yard rolls.
Trace:
The Art Box carries tracing paper (trace)
in 20 yard and 50 yard rolls that range from 12" to 36". We
stock both white and Canary yellow.
Chip
Board: We carry chipboard in two thicknesses. This
dense reliable board is perfect for making models because
of its clean cutting nature and its consistent thickness.
Arches
Paper: The Art Box carries Arches watercolor
paper in single full size sheets 22"x30". We stock 90 lb,
140 lb and 300 lb with the Cold Pressed surface.
Decorative
Paper: One of our favorite sections is the paper
department. We love papers that are unusual: nubby, lumpy
colorful ones made from cotton rags, weedy floral ones with
parsley or petals mixed into the pulp, ingres papers in 15
colors, thin rice papers with fibers running through them,
you name it, we probably have it. We sell them as full sheets,
but we cut up quite a lot of them so that you can choose small
pieces of a few without spending a lot of money. Our papers
might be just the thing to make your models look terrific.

Balsa:
We carry a variety of balsa sizes ranging from 1/16"x1/16"
to 3/8"x3". Sticks are 36" long and are for sale individually.
Basswood:
Assorted Basswood sheets and sticks for building
models. Architects, engineers and hobbyists will love these
reliable materials. Basswood is sturdier and smoother to cut
than balsa. We also carry a basswood miniatures assortment
that contains shapes and patterns to help speed up model making.
Shapes include cove, door and window trim, flooring, siding
and chair rail. All shapes come in 24" strips and are for
sale individually.
Lamps:
The Art Box carries a variety of lamps from
standard, inexpensive desk lamps, to very nice florescent-incandescent
combinations that simulate natural light. If we don't have
the kind you want, we will be happy to order it for you.
Chairs:
We know ordering chairs from a catalog is hard. What
will they feel like? How tall are they? Is it blue navy or
royal? We have a small variety of chairs on hand to test.
Come and try them out, then we'll order one just for you.
Drawing
Boards: The Art Box carries 30"x40" metal
edged drawing boards in stock. We special order all other
sizes. We carry replacement drawing board covers in a variety
of colors.
Tables
and Taborets: The Art Box carries a small selection
of drafting tables and Artists' Organizers in stock. We are
also happy to special order tables and taborets from our many
catalogs. Tables come with or without drawers, utility trays,
in black, in white, tall, short, permanent and fold-away models.
Let us know what you want a table to do and we will help you
find the perfect table. Taborets are those wonderful rolling
carts full of drawers for all your supplies. They can be pulled
up next to your table or rolled away into a corner.
Drafting
Dots and Tape: One of the essential supplies for
any architect or engineer, drafting tape and dots keep your
work in place until you are ready to move it, then remove
cleanly without tearing the paper.
Zap-A-Gap
Glue: The only glue that will glue plaster, however
it will also glue fingers together.
